Quiet suburban England after the rain. Vintage cars, spotting foxes behind dustbins. Schoolgirls fantasizing about 'glamourous older men.'
Sitting in the kitchen, dreaming and dipping your finger in the sugar jar.
Vintage bone/shell pink collared blouse, sweater from my Mother, originally from David Jones (?) Vintage tailored leather skirt, sourced from King St Vinnies.
Mismatched socks from school days, summer clogs.
Obnoxious cheetah ring borrowed from Margarita.
Boarding school- midnight feasts, lying on the lawn, drunk with summer, pollen and blossoms and English breeze- always a chill around your ankles.
I want to tell my friends everything, I want to write you letters. I want to own a pair of Mary Janes in every single colour. I want to pass all my exams, I want to lie against ivy covered walls and smoke colourful cigarettes. I want pretend ghosts and old buildings.
I feel old, but not very wise.

Ruby! I love you! This is so lovely. If you ever delete this like you did your other posts I will cry.
ReplyDeleteOkay I promise not to! I miss your blog posts Elle, you have to do one about the lake :) I'm so glad you like this, the visuals were in my head so I had to blog this so I could focus on something else. Thank you so so much!
ReplyDeleteLove it.
ReplyDeleteI'm a little bit in love with Carey Mulligan. I haven't seen An Education yet but I just watched Never Let me Go and it's incredible.
And she was in a couple of my fave episodes of Doctor Who (gosh i sound so cool...)
Love the skirt!
